    During an evening stroll through Charleston, my wife and I noticed the beauty of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.  The door was so beautiful and we loved how the giant red door was left open.  I felt this was quite symbolic, therefore the title of this painting seemed to fall right in place.  St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church is a legendary landmark on King Street.  The church’s steeple towers over Marion Square Park for all to enjoy.
